📚 In the Shadow of Lightning by Brian McClellan - Loved his Powder Mage series but he takes his writing to the next level with his new book. Couldn’t put it down the entire time I read it. Can’t wait for the sequel. A+
📚 Upgrade by Blake Crouch - Great anxiety inducing thriller from Blake Crouch as always. A
📚 Legion by Brandon Sanderson - I’ve read everything else that Brandon Sanderson has ever written but somehow I missed this series. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Great mix of psychology and fantasy. A
📚 Spellbreaker + Spellmaker by Charlie N. Holmberg - Cute little duology. Great summer reading by the pool. B+
📺 Ms. Marvel - A good twist on the normal Marvel show formula. Started strong by ended weak. B-
📺 The Bear Season 1 - As someone who’s never worked in a restaurant but loves eating in them - I loved the insights into the back of house. A
📺 Conversations with Friends - Huge fan of Sally Rooney’s work and loved the adaptation of Normal People. Found this fell a bit flat in comparison. B+
🎥 Lightyear - Toy Story is one of my favourite series of all time. This didn’t live up to it but was perfectl adequate. B
🎥 Godzilla vs. Kong - First of a few films I atched while bedridden with COVID. Mildly entertaining. C+
🎥 Jurassic World Dominion - Even while bedridden I couldn’t finish it. So so so bad. Makes Jurassic Park III look like a gem. F
🎥 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Continues to be my least favourite Marvel character. D
📺 Paper Girls Season 1 - Loved the comic book series, great adapatation of it. A
