The last media diet of the year! It was an interesting month of content. I spent 2 weeks of it on vacation, one week with my partner and one week with family.

🎥 Marcel the Shell with Shoes On - Was my favourite movie of the year! Not much else needs to be said, just go watch it. (A+)

🎥 Weird: The Al Yankovic Story - I’ve always loved Weird Al and went into this with low expectations - it was released for free on The Roku Channel after all. How wrong I was to judge it, it was one of the funniest movies I’ve seen all year! Ridiculous and over the top, just like Weird Al himself (A)

📺 Under the Banner of Heaven - Great mini series about mormans and murder. Andrew Garfield does great. (A-)

📺 The White Lotus Season 2 - I didn’t enjoy the first season at all but wanted to give the second season a shot. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! (A-)

📺 Rick and Morty Season 6 - Didn’t feel original or exciting this time around. Not sure if it’s going downhill or if i’ve outgrown it. (B-)

📚 Across the Sand by Hugh Howey - I loved Hugh Howey’s Silo series but this one just didn’t click for me. (C+)

📚 Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree - Cute fun adventure that was a blast to read. Nice quick story after Across the Sand dragged. (A)

📺 High School Season 1 - Insights into Tegan And Sara’s childhood PLUS some nostalgia about going to High School in Calgary? What’s not to love. (A)

🎥 Adopting Audrey - Underwhelming story. Felt like it could have been a lot more meaningful. (B-)

📚 Hunt the Stars & Eclipse the Moon by Jessie Mihalik - Pretty solid light Scifi with a romance tinge to it. Easy reads that were great for vacation. (B+)

📚 The Boys from Biloxi by John Grisham - I’ve always been a sucker for Grisham’s legal thrillers and this one excels. (A)

📺 Letterkenny Season 11 - Still a solid show even after 11 seasons, but this one felt a bit lacking compared to the fresh Shoresy spin off that came out in May. (B+)

📺 Staged Season 3 - Fun twist on the previous two seasons, worth the watch. (A-)

📺 Fleishman Is in Trouble Season 1 - My unexpected hit that was my favourite show of 2022! Thoughtful commentary, great characters, incredible writing. (A+)
