Media Diet: November 2025

The last few months have been a complete blur. Writing this at the end of December and I have to look at my calendar to even remember what I did in November! I had a great trip to the UK for work plus a flight down to San Diego for the MLS Western Conference Finals.

🎥 Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead - Watched an interview with Ethan Hawke where he was talking about this and I had never seen it. Great movie! (A-)

📺 The Lowdown Season 1 - More Ethan Hawke. I can never get enough of him. Another fantastic show from Sterlin Harjo. (A)

📚 The Rachel Incident by Caroline O’Donoghue - I love me an Irish novel. Great quick read. (A-)

📚 A Judgement of Powers by Benedict Jacka - Another great book from Jacka. A compelling, easy read . (A-)

📚 Teer & Kard Book 1-4 - Flew through the series while travelling. Great for passing the time on a train. (A-)

🎥 The Running Man - Ooph, what a stinker. Give it a miss. (C)

📺 Trigger Point Season 1-3 - I devoured this while traveling. Exciting and goes quick. (A)

🎥 The Long Walk - Impressed what they managed to do with this concept! (A-)

📺 Nobody Wants This Season 2 - Not as good as the first season but still love the dynamic. (B+)

🎥 Fast Charlie - Pierce Brosnan is fantastic. Love the two timelines. (A-)

🎥 How to Train Your Dragon - I’m so tired of live action remakes. I’ve yet to watch one that felt worth it. (C)

🎥 Everest - Saw someone else watching this on a flight and wanted to give it a watch. Does a great job showing the tension of a disaster on a climb. (B+)

🎥 Champions - This was a weird one. Left me conflicted . (B)

📺 Only Murders in the Building Season 5 - Dipping in quality but it will be interesting to see how they revamp it for the next season. (A-)

🎥 Laggies - What a cast. Not a perfect movie but a fun watch. (A)

📺 Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping Season 1 - Love Mitchell and Webb but this wasn’t their best work. A few great sketches here and there. (B)

📺 The Beast in Me Season 1 - Tense from start to finish. Fantastic acting. (A-)

🎥 Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery - What a film. My favorite in the series so far. There was something special about getting to watch it in a packed theater. (A+)

📚 The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman - Somehow I missed when this one got released. Another decent book in this fun series. (B+)

🎥 Roofman - Fun and ridiculous. Perfect for watching on a flight. (A-)

📚 Brigands & Breadknives by Travis Baldree - Not my favorite in the series but enjoyed the new direction for the book. (A-)

🎮 Ball x Pit - Fun little game. Great mix of genres. Perfect for the Steam Deck. Worth a buy! (A)
