February was a very low-key month. I had no big travel plans, just a quick jaunt to Victoria for the Whitecaps vs Tigres soccer match and then back home. I enjoyed the break in travel, as things are looking like they will start ramping up again soon.

๐Ÿ“š The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin - I’ve read it before but re-read it for my Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book club. Still not its biggest fan. Some of it is the most fascinating writing I’ve ever read, but I skimmed to get through it at other times. (B)

๐Ÿ“บ Drive to Survive Seasons 1 to 5 - I’ve been slowly watching my way through this while on my spin bike and have been enjoying it! I have a lot of friends who are F1 fans, and it’s slowly been helping me get more into it. I look forward to following the 2024 season more closely! (A)

๐Ÿ“บ One Day (2024) - A cute, fun, and occasionally depressing watch. It’s worth the binge. (A-)

๐ŸŽฅ How to Have Sex - Brutal coming-of-age that is an essential watch. Great commentary on our culture of sex and consent. (A)

๐Ÿ“บ This Is Going to Hurt Season 1 - I love both Ben Whishaw & Ambika Mod, and they both crush it in this show. Heart-wrenching black comedy. (A)

๐Ÿ“š The Red Knight by Miles Cameron - I enjoyed reading it, but it could have been more memorable. I never felt any motivation to keep reading the series. (B+)

๐Ÿ“บ The Grand Tour: Sand Job - A solid return to form for the three hosts! I have not enjoyed the last few specials, but there was something about this one. Sadly, their next particular will be the end of The Grand Tour. (A-)

๐Ÿ“บ Funny Woman Season 1 - A solid British comedy but nothing special. It is easy and fun to watch. (B+)

๐ŸŽฅ The Iron Claw - A vivid depiction of a wrestling family falling apart. It’s hard to watch, but what a story. It’s hard to believe it’s based on a real family. (A)

๐Ÿ“บ Life & Beth Season 1 - A very different Amy Schumer than has been in any film or TV! It’s much more relatable and down to earth. I’m looking forward to watching Season 2. (A-)

๐ŸŽฎ Balatro - The rare video game on my media diet! It is an absolute blastโ€”a rogue-like deck-building game blended with poker. It is perfect for playing while cuddling on the couch with the Switch.
